First Act Productions was founded by two sisters, Natalia and Dana Pelevine in Los
Angeles. Both professionally trained actresses, with a substantial
amount of written material under their belt, they decided to take the realisation
of their creative effort into their own hands.
The company strives to produce original and non-original material that has potential
for a unique theatrical adventure.
In 2004, First Act Productions Limited was also opened in London, the capital of
the theatrical world, in order to tap into London West End theatres-some of the
best venues on the globe.
First Act Productions is unique in its aspiration to bring to the world political,
controversial and challenging material, focusing firmly on the issues of today,
hoping to provoke the audience into feeling, questioning, and perhaps challenging
the orders of the present day.

In Your Hands, London, Spring 2005
Written by Natalia Pelevine
In Your Hands is based on the real events in a Moscow theatre in 2002 when almost
one thousand people were taken hostage by Chechen rebels. The tormenting 57 hours
ended in tragedy when the Russian government gassed all those in the building before
storming it.
